BREATHWORK

There are a number of breathwork practices used worldwide…

Within the modality in which I was trained in, I use Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) as the breathing technique, which is characterized by a looping, connected breath and a relaxed body.

Along the use of the breath, I was trained in various forms of manual touch and bodywork, in order to assist you within a session and facilitate opportunities to breathe in new, dynamic, and vibrant ways.

Naturally, as we inhale, we become more activated and can increase our energy levels. By exhaling, we directly influence the mechanisms of our body that allow us to relax.

Building a deeper relationship with our breath – understanding the mechanisms through which we can activate & relax our nervous system on a visceral level, makes us more proficient in dealing with stress and high-demand situations.

Another benefit is that, through the use of connected breathwork we come into contact with our subconscious breathing patterns, which is directly connected to the way our nervous system functions.

As a Facilitated Breath Repatterning (FBR) Practitioner, I'm adept at reading someone's breath and help clients in creating lasting changes within their way of breathing to allow them to breathe more effectively.

As we learn to breathe more vibrantly, and outgrow particular habitual breathing patterns, we are able to breathe more fluidly over time.

This is useful, as we can adjust our way of breathing, depending on what's most needed moment to moment, ensuring that we bring the appropriate response to the demands of our life circumstances – fostering deeper resilience and well-being over time.

Within facilitated breathwork sessions, we train your nervous system by intentionally entering a stress response through an active, vibrant breath which is then balanced through an equal amount of rest and integration in the second half of a session. By deliberately entering states of activation and moving into relaxation, we become more familiar with both states, and strengthen our capacity to shift between them depending on what's needed. Over time, this creates the foundation for a deeper range of expression, an embodied sense of safety and inner confidence.

This is especially empowering when we have come into a position of experiencing chronic / long- lasting stress responses without the capacity to resource back into states of relaxation or recovery. As we are able to re-enter back into long-lasting states of regulation, this allows us to choose our response more effectively in connection to our values and highest alignment, rather than becoming reactive. This ultimately creates the foundations for connection, harmony and well-being.

“Breath is the first thing we do coming into this life, breath is the last thing we do leaving this life, and breath regulates everything in between”

— Howard Mann
